| 6:2-5 | 2. "If
a person sins and commits a trespass against the Lord by lying to his
neighbor about what was delivered to him for safekeeping, or about a pledge,
or about a robbery, or if he has extorted from his neighbor, 3. "or if he has found what was lost and lies concerning it, and swears falsely in any one of these things that a man may do in which he sins: 4. "then it shall be, because he has sinned and is guilty, that he shall restore what he has stolen, or the thing which he has extorted, or what was delivered to him for safekeeping, or the lost thing which he found, 5. "or all that about which he has sworn falsely. He shall restore its full value, add one-fifth more to it, and give it to whomever it belongs, on the day of his trespass offering." |
| 22:2 | "Speak to Aaron and his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, and that they do not profane My holy name in those things which they sanctify to Me: I am the Lord." |
| 4:1-2 | 1.
"Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the judgments which I
teach you to observe, that you may live, and go in and possess the land
which the Lord God of your fathers is giving you. 2. "You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take anything from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you." |
| 4:5 | "Surely I have taught you statutes and judgments, just as the Lord my God commanded me, that you should act according to them in the land which you go to possess." |
| 4:9 | "Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren" |
| 4:14 | "And the Lord commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that you might observe them in the land which you cross over to possess." |
| 6:1-10 | 1. "Now
this is the commandment, and these are the statutes and judgments which
the Lord your God has commanded to teach you, that you may observe them
in the land which you are crossing over to possess, 2. "that you may fear the Lord your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you, you and your son and your grandson, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged. 3. "Therefore hear, O Israel, and be careful to observe it, that it may be well with you, and that you may multiply greatly as the Lord God of your fathers has promised you `a land flowing with milk and honey.' 4. "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! 5. "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might. 6. "And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart; 7. "you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. 8. "You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9. "You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. 10. "And it shall be, when the Lord your God brings you into the land of which He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give you large and beautiful cities which you did not build, |
| 8:18 | ""And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day." |
| 10:12 | ""And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul," |
| 17:19 | "And it shall be with him, and he shall read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the Lord his God and be careful to observe all the words of this law and these statutes, . . ." |
| 27:17 | "`Cursed is the one who moves his neighbor's landmark.' And all the people shall say, `Amen!'" |
| 31:12-13 | 12. "Gather
the people together, men and women and little ones, and the stranger who
is within your gates, that they may hear and that they may learn to fear
the Lord your God and carefully observe all the words of this law, 13. "and that their children, who have not known it, may hear and learn to fear the Lord your God as long as you live in the land which you cross the Jordan to possess.'' |
| 8:34 |
"And afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessings and the cursings, according to all that is written in the Book of the Law." |
| 24:15 | "And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.' |
