1 Samuel   Ezra

Judges
14:6 "And the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him, and he tore the lion apart as one would have torn apart a young goat, though he had nothing in his hand. But he did not tell his father or his mother what he had done."
7:21 "And every man stood in his place all around the camp; and the whole army ran and cried out and fled."

1 Samuel
1:26-28 26. "And she said, "O my lord! As your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman who stood by you here, praying to the Lord.
27. "For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him.
28. "Therefore I also have lent him to the Lord; as long as he lives he shall be lent to the Lord.'' So they worshiped the Lord there."
4:1-2 1. "Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the judgments which I teach you to observe, that you may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers is giving you.
2. "You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take anything from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you."
8:4-7 4. "Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah,
5. and said to him, "Look, you are old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now make for us a king to judge us like all the nations.''
6. But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, "Give us a king to judge us.'' So Samuel prayed to the Lord.
7. And the Lord said to Samuel, "Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them."
8:19-22 19. "Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, "No, but we will have a king over us,
20. that we also may be like all the nations, and that our king may judge us and go out before us and fight our battles.''
21. And Samuel heard all the words of the people, and he repeated them in the hearing of the Lord.
22. So the Lord said to Samuel, "Heed their voice, and make them a king.'' And Samuel said to the men of Israel, "Every man go to his city.''"

Ezra
1:3-4 3. "Who is there among you of all His people? May his God be with him! Now let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the Lord God of Israel (He is God), which is in Jerusalem.
4. And whoever remains in any place where he sojourns, let the men of his place help him with silver and gold, with goods and livestock, besides the freewill offerings for the house of God which is in Jerusalem."
2:68-69 68. "Some of the heads of the fathers' houses, when they came to the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem, offered freely for the house of God, to erect it in its place:
69. According to their ability, they gave to the treasury for the work sixty-one thousand gold drachmas, five thousand minas of silver, and one hundred priestly garments."
5:14-15 14. "Also, the gold and silver articles of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar had taken from the temple that was in Jerusalem and carried into the temple of Babylon those King Cyrus took from the temple of Babylon, and they were given to one named Sheshbazzar, whom he had made governor.
15. "And he said to him, `Take these articles; go, carry them to the temple site that is in Jerusalem, and let the house of God be rebuilt on its former site.'"
