1.
"Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
2. But his delight is in the law of the
Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.
3. He shall be like a tree Planted by
the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose
leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.
4. The ungodly are not so, But are like
the chaff which the wind drives away.
5. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand
in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6. For the Lord knows the way of the
righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish" |
| 2:4 |
"He who sits in the heavens
shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision." |
| 2:7 |
"I will declare the decree:
The Lord has said to Me, ` `You are My Son, Today I have begotten You."
|
| 8:3-6 |
3."
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the
stars, which You have ordained,
4. What is man that You are mindful of
him, And the son of man that You visit him?
5. For You have made him a little lower
than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor.
6. You have made him to have dominion
over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet,
. . ." |
| 9:6-7 |
6.
"O enemy, destructions are finished forever! And you have destroyed
cities; Even their memory has perished.
7. But the Lord shall endure forever;
He has prepared His throne for judgment." |
| 19:1-3 |
1."
The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.
2. Day unto day utters speech, And night
unto night reveals knowledge.
3. There is no speech nor language Where
their voice is not heard." |
| 19:7-10 |
7.
"The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony
of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;
8. The statutes of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening
the eyes;
9. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring
forever; The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
10. More to be desired are they than
gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb." |
| 32:1-5 |
1.
"Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered.
2. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord
does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no guile.
3. When I kept silent, my bones grew
old Through my groaning all the day long.
4. For day and night Your hand was heavy
upon me; My vitality was turned into the drought of summer. Selah
5. I acknowledged my sin to You, And
my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, "I will confess my transgressions
to the Lord,'' And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah" |
| 51:5 |
"Behold, I was brought
forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me." |
| 51:11 |
"Do not cast me away from
Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me." |
| 78:1-8 |
1.
"Give ear, O my people, to my law; Incline your ears to the words
of my mouth.
2. I will open my mouth in a parable;
I will utter dark sayings of old,
3. Which we have heard and known, And
our fathers have told us.
4. We will not hide them from their children,
Telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, And His strength
and His wonderful works that He has done.
5. For He established a testimony in
Jacob, And appointed a law in Israel, Which He commanded our fathers,
That they should make them known to their children;
6. That the generation to come might
know them, The children who would be born, That they may arise and declare
them to their children,
7. That they may set their hope in God,
And not forget the works of God, But keep His commandments;
8. And may not be like their fathers,
A stubborn and rebellious generation, A generation that did not set its
heart aright, And whose spirit was not faithful to God." |
| 101:5 |
"Whoever secretly slanders
his neighbor, Him I will destroy; The one who has a haughty look and a
proud heart, Him I will not endure." |
| 110:1 |
"The Lord said to my Lord,
"Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.''" |
| 119:9 |
"How can a young man cleanse
his way? By taking heed according to Your word." |
| 119:11 |
"Your word I have hidden
in my heart, That I might not sin against You." |
| 119:89 |
"Forever, O Lord, Your
word is settled in heaven." |
| 119:105 |
"Your word is a lamp to
my feet And a light to my path." |
| 119:140 |
"Your word is very pure;
Therefore Your servant loves it." |
| 127 |
1.
"Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who
build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in
vain.
2. It is vain for you to rise up early,
To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved
sleep.
3. Behold, children are a heritage from
the Lord, The fruit of the womb is His reward.
4. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one's youth.
5. Happy is the man who has his quiver
full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies
in the gate." |
| 128 |
1.
"Blessed is every one who fears the Lord, Who walks in His
ways.
2. When you eat the labor of your hands,
You shall be happy, and it shall be well with you.
3. Your wife shall be like a fruitful
vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants
All around your table.
4. Behold, thus shall the man be blessed
Who fears the Lord.
5. The Lord bless you out of Zion, And
may you see the good of Jerusalem All the days of your life.
6. Yes, may you see your children's children.
Peace be upon Israel!" |
| 139:7 |
"Where can I go from Your
Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?" |
| 139:13-16 |
13.
"For You have formed my inward parts; You have covered me in my mother's
womb.
14. I will praise You, for I am fearfully
and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows
very well.
15. My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts
of the earth.
16. Your eyes saw my substance, being
yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned
for me, When as yet there were none of them." |
