Isaiah
|
| 2:4 |
"He shall judge between
the nations, and shall rebuke many people; they shall beat their swords
into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not
lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore." |
| 5:1-7 |
1.
"Now let me sing to my Well-beloved a song of my Beloved regarding
His vineyard: my Well-beloved has a vineyard On a very fruitful hill.
2. He dug it up and cleared out its stones,
and planted it with the choicest vine. He built a tower in its midst,
and also made a winepress in it; so He expected it to bring forth good
grapes, but it brought forth wild grapes.
3. "And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem
and men of Judah, judge, please, between Me and My vineyard.
4. What more could have been done to
My vineyard that I have not done in it? Why then, when I expected it to
bring forth good grapes, did it bring forth wild grapes?
5. And now, please let Me tell you what
I will do to My vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it shall be
burned; and break down its wall, and it shall be trampled down.
6. I will lay it waste; it shall not
be pruned or dug, but there shall come up briers and thorns. I will also
command the clouds that they rain no rain on it.''
7. For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts
is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah are His pleasant plant. He
looked for justice, but behold, oppression; for righteousness, but behold,
weeping." |
| 6:1-8 |
1. "In
the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high
and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple.
2. Above it stood seraphim; each one
had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet,
and with two he flew.
3. And one cried to another and said:
"Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of
His glory!''
4. And the posts of the door were shaken
by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke.
5. Then I said: "Woe is me, for
I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst
of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord
of hosts.''
6. Then one of the seraphim flew to me,
having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from
the altar.
7. And he touched my mouth with it, and
said: "Behold, this has touched your lips; your iniquity is taken
away, and your sin purged.''
8. Also I heard the voice of the Lord,
saying: "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?'' Then I said,
"Here am I! Send me.'' " |
| 7:14 |
"Therefore the Lord Himself will give
you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall
call His name Immanuel" |
| 9:6-7 |
6. "For
unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will
be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7. Of the increase of His government
and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His
kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that
time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform
this." |
| 11:9 |
"They shall not hurt nor destroy in
all My holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of
the Lord as the waters cover the sea." |
| 34:16 |
""Search from the book of the
Lord, and read: not one of these shall fail; not one shall lack her mate.
For My mouth has commanded it, and His Spirit has gathered them." |
| 43:3 |
"For I am the Lord your God, the Holy
One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and
Seba in your place." |
|
43:15
|
"I am the Lord, your Holy
One, the Creator of Israel, your King.'' |

1.
"Who has believed our report? and to whom has the arm of the
Lord been revealed?
2. For He shall grow up before Him as
a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness;
and when we see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him.
3. He is despised and rejected by men,
a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our
faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
4. Surely He has borne our griefs and
carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and
afflicted.
5. But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was
upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.
6. All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him
the iniquity of us all.
7. He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and
as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not his mouth.
8. He was taken from prison and from
judgment, and who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from
the land of the living; for the transgressions of My people He was stricken.
9. And they made His grave with the wicked
but with the rich at His death, because He had done no violence, nor was
any deceit in His mouth.
10. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise
Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin,
He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of
the Lord shall prosper in His hand.
11. He shall see the travail of His soul,
and be satisfied. by His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify
many, for He shall bear their iniquities.
12. Therefore I will divide Him a portion
with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong, because
He poured out His soul unto death, and He was numbered with the transgressors,
and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors." |
| 61:1-3 |
1.
"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed
Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to
those who are bound;
2. to proclaim the acceptable year of
the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn,
3. to console those who mourn in Zion,
to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment
of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of
righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.'' |
| 64:8 |
"But now, O Lord, You are
our Father; we are the clay, and You our potter; and all we are the work
of Your hand." |
